Claire recently attended our weekend career change florist course and whilst with us told us of her plans to have a stall at a local summer fete. We were thrilled to receive pictures from Claire as a previous student!

Claire's stall at summer fete

She wanted to create beautiful small designs that she could sell to visitors at a reasonable price. We gave Claire some ideas on designs and where to buy flowers so we were absolutely delighted when she sent these pictures through to us this week.

Claire’s choice of flowers including gorgeous ranunculus, avalanche roses and viburnum and her vintage kilner containers were perfect for a summer fete. As well as selling lots, she also received fantastic feedback. As you can tell from the picture of the flowers in her sink, a lot of preparation is needed but the hard work is all worth it when you actually sell what you have made!

So Claire has proved you don’t need a shop to launch your floristry career maybe start with a florist course instead! Summer is coming so book yourself a stall at your local fete!
